Here we are again...another month flown by!
Evelyn is thisclose to crawling, but not quite there yet. She's waving hi and bye-bye, giving kisses (only to Daddy!), and loves to dance to music.
She's a great eater like her brother and hasn't turned anything down yet. Some of her new foodie adventures include: green pepper, honeydew, asparagus, and blueberries. She likes 'em all! Plus she's started eating some finger foods like bananas, peaches, puffs, little noodles, and tonight she wolfed down almost a whole avocado at dinner.
She was 18 lbs, 13 oz and 28 inches at her last appointment...which is 52nd percentile for weight and 67th for height. She may be tall, but she still seems small to me. I just dressed her in a 0-3 month onesie today. Maybe that's why I can't seem to grasp how old she really is.
And Big Brother is sweet as ever. Although all of a sudden, he thinks he's the boss of little sister. He is constantly scolding her: "No Evie! No, can't have that!" In a way it's cute, cause I can tell he's looking out for her. But on the other hand, he really likes being able to tell someone else what to do and gets a little power-hungry sometimes.
He's learning about little letters (lowercase) and how to spell his name. He is really into the alphabet these days and we spend a good ten minutes on the last page of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom while he points out each big and little letter. "Big A, yittle A...big B, yittle B..." It makes for a handy stalling-before-bed tactic too.
He also loves to sing now. I love it. Before bed he sings along with me to "Rockabye Julian," and in the car he sings along to everything, even if he doesn't know the song. Here's one of his favorites...
