The Annual Late Christmas Post

Once Christmas is over, the pictures taken, the gifts opened, the leftovers reheated...it's always hard for me to recap all the joy in a post. It's like it was too beautiful and wonderful to convey with a few paragraphs. But since I'm nearing a month late, maybe I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.
Julian asked Santa for Hungry Hungry Hippos and Evie asked for a tree stump. I have no idea where that came from.
Julian's preschool program was so cute. I sat there fighting back tears the whole time.

I will say that we had two very full days of Christmas with perfectly timed parties for the second year in a row. We're so thankful for how nice it is not to skip naps or rush around to get everywhere, and still get lots of time with all of our family.

Julian started writing this (the "we") when I realized maybe he should just dictate.

Why do we always get a gift that we have to assemble the night before?

We carried on Grandma and Grandpa Bjorklund's tradition of the Missing Present.

Hey! How you doin?

Thanking Uncle Deej for her elephant. As she hugged it she said, "I'm just so happy!"

Sugar- and present-high crash.

Gettin' tickled!

They look about the same height here.

A month later and we are still talking about Santa, playing with our gifts, and leaving the Christmas lights in the bedrooms up just a little longer.
