Meeting Camden Thomas Boehm

Julian just got back from his first interstate car trip last night, and boy, are we glad to be out of the car!

After getting the call Sunday afternoon that Amanda’s water had broken, J and I knew we couldn’t miss out on a chance to see the new baby. Tom, Terri, and Tyler were kind (and brave) enough to invite Julian and I to ride to Wisconsin with them.

Julian did quite well for being in the car 10 hours that day! I also learned some new soothing tactics for him after bottle, paci, and toy fail: 1) Take off one article of clothing. This continued until he was wearing only a shirt and diaper when he first met his new cousin. 2) Foot rubs! Apparently, the kid loves a good foot massage. He got about an hour-long one on the way home yesterday–lucky.

We were so glad we got to meet baby Camden and he is just the tiniest little thing you can imagine. Julian started seeming monstrously huge after holding little Camden. Kyle couldn’t be a prouder dad and his little boy is his mini-me. Mom and baby are doing great and headed home today. We love you guys!
