Pure Michigan

The weather the last week or two has been filled with perfect fall days. We've been outside as much as possible, just soaking it all up. These are the kind of days where I think, "Ahhh, now this is why I love living here!" (Ask me again in February, I might have had a change of heart.)
I actually really do love living in Michigan and getting to enjoy all four seasons distinctly. Winter may get a little long after Christmas, but it makes spring that much sweeter.

I don't know what this face is, but it makes me laugh 'cause he looks like a Muppet.

Plus, the kids have so many different things to enjoy in each season: summer boasts swimming, Fourth of July, and lake trips; fall has pumpkins, apple orchards, lots of outdoor time, changing leaves, birthdays and Halloween; winter makes up for the bitter cold with Christmas, sledding, hot tubbing, and hot chocolate; and then by the time spring rolls around, we're just happy to get outside to puddle jump and go to the park again.

But fall is by far my favorite. And we're making the most of it while we can.
