"You're not short."

I never thought I’d hear those words directed towards me, but that’s exactly what Julian’s pediatrician said yesterday. He was saying that considering Mitch’s height and mine, there’s a good reason Julian is in the 90th percentile for height. (Although, I’m guessing the height is coming mostly from the Fowler side of the family.) So surprise, surprise–he’s tall!

He’s 24 1/4 inches long and 13.5 pounds at 10 weeks.

He’s also in the 90th percentile for weight, which the doc also said was common for breastfed babies. They tend to be bigger at first and then even out later, as opposed to formula-fed babies who start off a little slower but gain more later.

Julian did well with his shots. He certainly didn’t enjoy them, but the screaming stopped as soon as he got a bottle afterward. I ended up crying more than he did! (I really disliked that mean nurse for hurting my baby!)

I’ll leave you with another attempt at Christmas pictures…

Looking a little worried...how many more poses will she try?

Woah...lights.
